  • Sly Blue's style has been and always will be inspired by early jazz. The sounds of New Orleans, the energy of New York, and the presence of unforgettable singers like Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Prima all contribute to the force that is Sly Blue. The group bridges the gap between old and new by playing classic tunes, arranging contemporary pop songs into the swing style, and writing original music. Their performance is like no other, and the band has audiences all over the world, both swing dancers and listeners in concert halls, screaming for more. Sly Blue also has the distinguished honor, among many, of being the only band to perform on the Bell Podium at the New York Stock Exchange. Check out the second album, Edge of the World.

Sly Blue: Fresh, dynamic, wonderful musicianship. As important, Sly Blue expertly “reads” the audience, helping to ante up the atmosphere and make an evening flow perfectly.

A pleasure to work with, amazing to listen to, and always a crowd pleaser. In fact, after each event, people consistently request the contact info for the phenomenal band.

I'd like to thank you and all your band members for getting the party started in such a magnificent way. Everyone -- and I mean everyone -- kept coming up to me and telling me how great your band was, how they loved the cocktail hour and your dance numbers during dinner (especially "You Made Me Love You"). I really think that it was such a perfect beginning to the wedding, and you put everyone is such an ebullient and joyous mood. I can't thank you enough. I've already sent along your info to a friend who's getting married next year and will continue to recommend you without hesitation. Hope to catch one of your shows in the future! Thank you thank you thank you

I caught one of your sets in Central Park last week. Left 410. Grabbed a CD. I freaking LOVE your music! I love your respect for songwriters from before a LOT. Makes these new Nashvillains look supremely stupid in their song smithing. ANYHOW. I don't know if you guys have ever considered Radio, but the Roots panel would likely dig what you guys are doing. They play all types of Americana, from the twang to the ragtime. I'd love to chat more if you were interested. My site is www.notoriousradio.com Either way, keep it up. You made my day...and now week!!!

OMG! You guys seriously rocked! You set the perfect tone for the evening and your enthusiasm was incredible. Hiring you was the single best decision we made. Literally everyone at the wedding is talking about how amazing you were. Thank you for making our wedding night truly magical.

Marko and Sly Blue! THANK YOU SO MUCH! You guys were AMAZING! Seriously, EVERYONE loved you guys. I had only wish our guests had arrived more on time to see you play more - if we had it to do over, we would have had you start at 7:30 so more people could have enjoyed your AWESOMENESS! Seriously though, you guys were one of our favorite parts of the whole event. When we get pictures back from the photographer, I'll be sure to send some good ones of you guys your way. THANKS AGAIN!!
