Sly Blue's style has been and always will be inspired by early jazz. The sounds of New Orleans, the energy of New York, and the presence of unforgettable singers like Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Prima all contribute to the force that is Sly Blue. The group bridges the gap between old and new by playing classic tunes, arranging contemporary pop songs into the swing style, and writing original music. Their performance is like no other, and the band has audiences all over the world, both swing dancers and listeners in concert halls, screaming for more. Sly Blue also has the distinguished honor, among many, of being the only band to perform on the Bell Podium at the New York Stock Exchange.

Goals
Our goal is to provide a most excellent atmosphere and the best entertainment for all occasions. Sly Blue is a New York based swing band with a New Orleans flare that excels at bringing life to any party, venue, and club. We have built a solid base of fans and clients and are continuing to grow as the rhythm of time beats on. One certainty is that whenever people hear our sound, whether they are young or old, they are drawn in and leave with a smile on their faces.
Our second goal is to keep the tradition of this classic American art alive. Although much of the music we play was written close to a century ago, the words and melodies are still relevant in this day and age. The beauty of the style is pristine and necessary in this time especially, which is why we also arrange more contemporary songs and our own to fit into the style.
Finally, in this day and age of Ipods and DJs, I cannot stress more the necessity and importance of live music. There is no replacement for a group of people making music together. Our love of performing is translated through our instruments and results in a most joyful and happy experience by all. I assure you there is nothing better, and you will be most satisfied for choosing Sly Blue.
